Join songwriter and poet Ben Weaver and special guests for this River City Revue at City House, the former municipal elevator and sack-house for the City of Saint Paul. Experience some of the ways the living river has changed over time, and how it has changed the people and places it touches. Invited guests will share live music, short films, illustrated talks, and food tastings. Enjoy a snack, get an up-close look at the river, or make your own poster from gathered maps and images.
Bike to the event with Ben Weaver and others! A group bike ride will be leaving Hidden Falls Park at 6PM sharp. RSVP here for details and updates.
River City Revue is an annual series of social events on and around the Mississippi River in our national park. Each River City Revue program animates a different theme, presenting eclectic perspectives that focus attention on the river we share. River City Revue events feature live music, art-making activities, short science and history talks, and opportunities to get up close and personal with the Mississippi River.
This summer, the Mississippi River Fund, the National Park Service, and Works Progress Studio are working with three artist curators to present River City Revue programs that explore how the river has changed over time.
Special thanks to the City of St. Paul’s Cultural STAR program for supporting River City Revue.
